TABER - Citizens in the Town of Taber are speaking out against a controversial proposal to hand the Town's water services to a private company. CUPE members are getting the word out with a sign campaign, ads and more.
CUPE Local 2038 President Rylee Farough says the Town should let the people decide the future of their water services - by postponing the decision until after the Oct. 15 municipal elections.
"The future of water services should be THE election issue on Oct.15.
"Taber Town Council is trying to rush the decision, but the citizens of the town should have the last word on election day," says Farough.
